Beer labels
Phil asked me to come up with quick labels for the two batches of beer he bottled this weekend. Quick means a matter of minutes from concept to printed labels; borrowed art makes it possible.
The first was the snowpocalypse porter Dennis brewed while Rappahannock County was buried under two feet of snow. He used Wasmund’s smoked malt, chocolate malt, two kinds of molasses, honey, and filtered melted snow. For that label, I used the Abominable Snow Monster from the animated “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” Christmas classic (Dennis suggested the monster).
Next was Phil’s brew using the tail-end of the Wasmund’s malt on hand plus lots of other ingredients (I’ll ask him to specify later). I found a perfect graphic for the fox from author/illustrator Dan Santat’s blog.
